r-(Methionyl Tripeptide-46 Hexapeptide-40 Tetrapeptide-66 Synechococcus Polypeptide-1) is a single chain recombinant peptide, produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the genes from Tripeptide-46, Hexapeptide-40, Tetrapeptide-66 and r-Synechococcus Polypeptide-1 with the initiation codon for methionine. The fusion peptide contains 178 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
